Elizabeth Arden, became well know in the early 1900's. She is known across the world for her makeup, creams and fragrances and at one time was one of the wealthiest women in the US. Today, the brand supports celebrity fragrances such as Hilliary Duff, Mariah Carey and Britney Spears, catering for a younger audience. However, the face of Elizabeth Arden is Catherine Zeta Jones, implying that the cosmetics and fragrances are targetted for women whom are over 25.
Provocative Women was released in 2004 and after researching a little about the fragrance it doesn't seem to have made a lasting impression on many. Apparently, it has a very strong smell, which hits you hard and fast (not so
provocative in my eyes), but at least there is no need for top ups! The tag line "Make men melt" is a clever form of word play, but in my opinion its makes older men melt (and if that's what you want, then this is the perfume for you!). This wouldn't be a gift for a teenager or young city-life minx; a little too old fashioned.
